Welcome to a new football fanzine that encompasses everything we love about the beautiful game. The False Nine came into being during a night at the pub simultaneously watching the Europa League Final and the Championship Play-Off Semi. This became a microcosm of everything we envisaged for the fanzine; as Falcao oozed panache and Blackpool and Birmingham scrapped it out at a wet and muddy St Andrews we knew we wanted to start a new publication that could offer the complete package and allow its writers a platform to cover football however they wanted.

The content will be varied. We’ll be looking at the whole spectrum of football – from the world elite, to the current state of the domestic game. We’ll also have a strong focus on the non-league scene and grassroots level.
